As our workshops, learning opportunities, and fibre community continue to grow, we're looking for one special Enabler to join our Mitchell team.
We're looking for a friendly, community-minded fibre enthusiast who is:
🧶 Proficient in both knitting and crochet
🧶 Comfortable teaching knitting and crochet at a minimum beginner level (the ideal candidate will be able to teach beyond the basics)
🧶 Passionate about helping others learn, grow, and gain confidence in their craft
🧶 Excited to promote workshops and one-on-one learning opportunities
🧶 Interested in helping shape future educational programming through the development and facilitation of new workshops
🧶 Reliable, organized, and enthusiastic about building community through yarn
As an important part of a small business, we rely on each other to provide exceptional service and create a welcoming experience for our customers.
This part-time position will be approximately 2–3 days per week, including rotating Saturdays. In addition to an hourly wage, instructors receive a percentage of workshop registration fees for workshops they teach, along with an employee discount on yarn and shop merchandise.

Selected candidates will be invited for an interview and may be asked to demonstrate a knitting or crochet technique while explaining it at a beginner level. This helps us assess both technical skills and teaching ability.
